AHA Heartsaver Adult/Children/Infant First Aid, CPR, AED

AHA Heartsaver Adult/Children/Infant First Aid, CPR, AED. Wednesday, February 18, 2026: 3:30pm-6:30pm for 3 hours at the Northwest Career & Technical Center.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Hybrid Course (12 Seats with Full Scholarship Avail)

This EMT hybrid course prepares students to provide pre-hospital assessment and emergency care for patients of all ages experiencing medical and traumatic emergencies. Topics include EMS systems, EMT roles and responsibilities, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, medical and trauma emergencies, and patient transportation. Course taught by Northern Vermont Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
Schedule:
- Dates: March 5 - July 2, 2026
- Live Zoom Classes: Thursdays, 5:30–8:30 PM
- In-Person Skills Days: Saturdays, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/25, 5/9, 5/23, 6/6)
Skills Location: Northwest Career & Technical Center
Scholarships Available:A limited number of full scholarships are available through Northern Vermont AHEC.
To apply for a scholarship:
- Register for the course and select Pay Now → Pay by Check, noting you are requesting the scholarship.
- A representative from AHEC will contact you about next steps.
Requirements:
- Must be 17 years old to enroll; 18 to take the NREMT exam
- Must meet EMT functional job requirements
- Strict attendance policy applies

1. VSAC's Advancement Grant. Call them at 800-642-3177 or email mcgovern@vsac.org. Ask for the grants department, you're not looking for a student loan.
2. Department of Labor. Call (802) 524-6585 and say you're looking for money to enroll in a training program.
