Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Training  & Credentialing Course. Held In-Person. Access to a computer and internet is required to complete some work online (cell phones cannot be used). Become a certified Clinical Medical Assistant through the National Healthcare Association (NHA).

To be accepted, please complete the required documentation located at this link at least one week before class starts.

Course Dates: September 10, 2024 to January 16, 2025. Tuesday and Thursday, 4:30 - 8:30pm. 24 clinical hours will be scheduled through the Clinical Coordinator.

Tuition includes the textbook, online practice exam and voucher for the final certification exam.

What is a Medical Assistant? Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Upon successful completion of this course:

• You will be prepared for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) national certification exam offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). This course includes the cost of the online practice exam and the final computer-based test exam. 
• You will have completed the required amount of clinical hours to gain practical experience in the field.
• You will be eligible for a job interview through the Northwestern Medical Center (NMC) in St. Albans, VT.
